Watertight (IP68) connectors have been specifically designed for outdoor and vacuum applications, manufactured in Brass (chrome plated). The K series include an inner sleeve and two seals to prevent penetration of solids or liquids into the housing formed by the plug, free socket or fixed socket. All models of this series are watertight to give a protection index of IP68 (when mated) when correctly assembled to an appropriate cable.


Most metallic components in general are manufactured in brass, and plastic housing are manufactured in PSU/PC. However, bronze or beryllium copper are used where good elasticity is required. Depending upon the application, these parts have electrolytic nickel or nickel-gold plating. These parts can also be manufactured in stainless steel.
